Bilingual Case Management Specialist

Position Overview:
In the role of Bilingual Case Management Specialist, you will be instrumental in delivering Post Release Services (PRS) to Unaccompanied Children (UC) and their families. This position is pivotal in ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the necessary support and resources tailored to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver culturally and linguistically tailored Post Release Services (PRS) alongside comprehensive case management.
  • Manage a caseload in alignment with contract stipulations and organizational expectations.
  • Conduct home visits and assessments to facilitate the reunification process as required.
  • Provide resource referrals and community connections while employing trauma-informed care principles.
  • Collaborate with program supervisors to assess client needs and develop tailored service plans.
  • Evaluate potential placements for unaccompanied children, including conducting interviews and outreach.
  • Document all necessary reports, case notes, and interactions in the designated database promptly.
  • Offer psycho-educational support, advocacy, and referrals to children and families.
  • Engage in family stabilization counseling and assist unaccompanied children in accessing relevant services.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with community partners and resources.
  • Continuously assess the safety and suitability of placements using best practices in child welfare.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Attend regular supervisory meetings to discuss case progress and strategies.
  • Stay informed about community resources and refer families as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field, with a minimum of two years of experience in case management within child and family services.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse client populations, including refugees and minority families.
  • Strong judgment and sensitivity to cultural differences and the experiences of refugees.
  • Knowledge of community resources available for victims of abuse.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office and other necessary software.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Pass a criminal background check, including child protection agency registries.
  • Commitment to the agency's mission and values.
