Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at Redwood Residential LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Operations Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of our multifamily communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and processing financial reports, invoices, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage resident files and accounting records to ensure accurate and timely collection of rent and fees.
  • Implement procedures for collecting on delinquencies and enforcing lease terms to maximize revenue.
  • Tour and lease affordable housing units, process applications, and prepare final move-in packages.
  • Manage lease expirations and renewals in accordance with California affordable housing requirements.
  • Process resident move-outs, apply deposit and lease cancellation fees, and process dispositions.
  • Respond to resident complaints, questions, and requests in a timely manner.
  • Act as on-site supervisor in the absence of the Operations Manager, organizing and delegating daily work, coordinating maintenance tasks, and managing community operations.
  • Assist in managing client/owner relationships, providing updates on property operations, and responding to owner requests.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in affordable housing programs, layering, and regulatory compliance in California.
  • Strong proficiency in property management software and Internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete legal documents, sell, and explain apartment features.
  • Mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percent to complete financial records, budgets, and other fiscal reporting information.

Work Environment

Associates work in an office environment, but may have frequent exposure to outside elements where temperature, weather, odors, and/or landscape may be unpleasant and/or hazardous.

Associates must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the community and amenities.

Associates must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty (20) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
