POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing operations and driving outcomes for the Los Angeles County program at the West Los Angeles AJCC. This role operates within an integrated service delivery framework, ensuring compliance with service deliverables and contract specifications. The Project Coordinator interprets and applies relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as grant program and JVS guidelines, to ensure effective program management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures program performance aligns with contract requirements through effective staff supervision, training, process management, data analysis, and staying informed about employment and business service trends.
  • Understands eligibility criteria and WIOA common measures, working to incorporate upcoming WIOA program requirements.
  • Collaborates with partner agency leaders as part of the AJCC management team to promote effective service integration and continuous quality improvement.
  • Contributes to the development of new grants and funding opportunities as part of a collaborative team.
  • May act as a representative for JVS and/or AJCC within the community.
  • Under the guidance of the Associate Director, plans, develops, and implements grant/program budgets, monitors program delivery and performance against objectives, and reviews expenditures to ensure compliance with funding regulations.
  • Evaluates the performance of assigned staff and provides necessary support.
  • Tracks client data in internal and state databases to enhance program outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Social Work, or a related field (experience may substitute for education).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
  • Attention to detail and timeliness are critical; familiarity with WIOA common measures and requirements is preferred.
  • Ability to take initiative while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Must possess a friendly demeanor and be willing to work flexible hours to achieve objectives.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee must be able to stand and sit for extended periods, bend and reach for filing and other job-related tasks, climb stairs, and lift materials as needed. Specific visual abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Manual dexterity is required to operate computers and other office equipment.

This role involves working in an office environment and may require travel to various work sites. Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary.
