About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Computer Science Instructor to join our faculty at Foothill College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of college-level courses in data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other areas of computer science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of computer science courses, including data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
  • Motivate and support students to achieve academic success
  • Develop and evaluate curricula to ensure alignment with program goals and learning outcomes
  • Participate in department and division meetings to contribute to the development of academic programs
  • Engage in professional growth activities to stay current with industry developments and best practices
  • Contribute to the development of institutional policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience teaching computer science courses at the college level
  • Strong understanding of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning concepts and applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data science and machine learning tools and technologies
  • Strong background in computer science, mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience with curriculum development and evaluation
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, tenure-track position with a 10-month contract. The successful candidate will be expected to work on campus and online, and may be required to teach evening and weekend classes.
