Job Title: Instructor, Computer Science

The Foothill-De Anza Community College District is seeking a highly qualified and experienced instructor to join our faculty in the Computer Science department. As a tenure-track instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of college-level courses in data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other areas of computer science.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach a range of courses in computer science, including data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other areas.
  • Motivate and encourage students to succeed in their academic pursuits.
  • Support program planning and develop goals and metrics for student learning outcomes.
  • Support student success in STEM fields by promoting the use of the STEM Learning Resource Center and other college-wide academic supports.
  • Engage in professional contributions on the Foothill campus throughout the academic year.
  • Participate in department and division meetings, and contribute to the development of curricula and programs.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the role of an instructor, including sharing institutional responsibilities and participating in campus extra-curricular activities.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with data science and machine learning is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and faculty.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to teach a range of courses and adapt to changing curriculum needs.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time, tenure-track position with a 10-month contract. The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States.
