Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nutrition Program Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide nutrition counseling and support to medical clients, working in accordance with premier quality care standards. This role requires strong communication and administrative management skills, as well as sensitivity to issues in minority and GLBT communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain systematic records in accordance with professional guidelines and work as a member of the Medical Unit to provide a continuum of quality medical care.
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and provide HIV specialty nutritional counseling.
  • Oversee the American Diabetes Association Diabetes Self-Management Education program at both WWH sites.
  • Establish, coordinate, and supervise new community nutrition programs.
  • Prepare monthly reports on the delivery of services and write proposals for nutrition-related grants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field required, with licensure as a Dietitian in the District of Columbia.
  • Certified Diabetes Educator preferred.
  • Two years of clinical experience post-licensure preferred with a focus on HIV/AIDS.

Working Conditions

This role requires normal office environment working conditions, with occasional evening and weekend work. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. and stand for long periods.
