Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Field Service Technicians with expertise in the commissioning of rotating equipment systems. This role requires a willingness to travel extensively.

Compensation

Salary: $50 - $70 per hour

As a prominent player in the global Energy Aftermarket sector, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products, solutions, and technical services to the Turbomachinery industry.

Responsibilities
  • Installation, configuration, and commissioning of Woodward Control systems and software for reciprocating engines.
  • Utilizing standard techniques and procedures to perform duties effectively.
  • Analyzing drawings, schematics, manuals, and software to identify optimal solutions for system setup and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborating with customers and field service dispatchers to outline project scopes.
  • Employing Woodward hardware and software for malfunction analysis and system tuning.
  • Providing instruction to customers on the operation and maintenance of Woodward equipment.
  • Coordinating with dispatchers to establish timelines and travel logistics.
  • Conducting corrective and preventative maintenance on installed systems.
  • Assisting engineers with projects and performing product testing during office periods.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years or preferably 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in automation, process controls, and rotating equipment (turbines, compressors, generators).
  • Proficiency with analog and digital controls, PLCs (ABB, Siemens, Allen Bradley), HMIs, SCADA, DCS systems, and instrumentation.
  • Strong background in the installation, troubleshooting, configuration, and commissioning of control systems.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Availability for on-call duties, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must possess a TWIC Card for site access.
  • Expected travel outside of Southern California, estimated at 50-75%.
  • Regular office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, with potential for extended hours in the field.
