Key Responsibilities
  • Shift Leadership: Manage a Steak 'n Shake shift, ensuring that all team members are working together to deliver exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, and that all health and safety regulations are met.
  • Team Development: Train, coach, and develop Restaurant Associates to improve their skills and knowledge, and to enhance their customer service skills.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Build strong relationships with customers, respond to their feedback, and take action to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Financial Management: Manage shift finances, including cash handling, inventory management, and ordering supplies.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Certified in all stations at Steak 'n Shake or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Positive communication skills, strong organization and time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Able to stand, walk, and stretch for long periods, and to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.
Working Relationships
  • Primary: Restaurant Associates, Restaurant Trainers, and Restaurant Management.
  • Secondary: Division President, Field Training Manager, and Human Resource Manager.
