Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting:
    • Partner with senior management to provide insightful financial analysis and reporting.
    • Develop and implement strategic budgeting and forecasting models.
    • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Meet various reporting deadlines (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually).
    • Track capital expenditures.
    • Assist with consolidation of various business entities.
    • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
  • Accounting Operations:
    • Oversee and manage general accounting functions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, taxes).
    • Lead month-end tasks to close the books, including reconciliation of balance sheet.
    • Monitor operational activities to ensure compliance with internal controls.
    • Reconciliation of employee benefits.
    • Complete bi-weekly payroll for three entities.
    • Manage daily cash position for various entities.
    • Process accounts payable payments to vendors.
    • Track sales and issue accounts receivable invoices to customers.
    • Assist with system process improvements and upgrades.
    • Assist with annual audits.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead the accounting team with strong leadership and mentorship.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with the CFO to create and maintain financial and operational benchmarks and reporting standards.
    • Implement best practices across all financial programs.
    • Ensure compliance with national and local regulations.
Qualifications
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent professional accounting certification.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing accounting with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting and financial modeling.
  • Experience in managing and streamlining payroll processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
