Our 6 West Ortho/Trauma Unit at UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a talented nurse to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

About the Role

As a nurse on our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including those with orthopedic, trauma, neurological, and medical-surgical conditions.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our unit's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans
  2. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
  3. Participate in unit-based shared governance and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures
  4. Provide education and support to patients and families
  5. Contribute to the development of the unit's quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state where the facility is located
  • BSN preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
