Job Summary:

PSCI is seeking a highly skilled Software Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Software Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate software quality assurance practices against NASA standards and practices
  • Identify risks associated with deviations from NASA standards and practices
  • Recommend approaches to mitigating these risks via software process audit or alternate evaluations
  • Review supplier software products as needed to support milestone and other reviews
  • Assure software tools selected are acceptable for use for the specific intended purpose
  • Provide assistance when necessary to help assure mission success (e.g., by witnessing software tests and verifying compliance with software requirements)
  • Provide training and facilitation in formal inspection, software safety and software assurance support
  • Provide weekly activity reports

Requirements:

  • At least a BS degree in a related field
  • At least four (4) years of work experience in a related field

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid position with some teleworking allowed, but the candidate needs to be available for onsite work at PSCI facilities.
