Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Italmatch USA Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the quality system processes and standards, performing raw material, intermediate, and final product testing, and assisting with production.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, biology, or a related field, and experience working with laboratory equipment, techniques, and safety protocols. They will also possess excellent project management and conflict resolution skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting routine laboratory tests, such as sample preparation, chemical analysis, and quality control checks, following established protocols.
  • Operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Recording, analyzing, and interpreting data, while ensuring proper documentation and adherence to data integrity principles.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Assisting with product investigations, CAPAs/CARs, and timely reporting and closure & communication of product nonconformances including issuance of corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with team members to address and resolve production and technical issues.
  • Supporting other roles within the organization as needed, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Providing operators with batch corrections as necessary.
  • Communicating effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Preparing and shipping samples to customers to DOT and IATA requirements.

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field; or equivalent experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment, techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of production chemistry and the related performance testing.
  • Experience working with analytical equipment, including but not limited to, XRF, Flash point, Viscometers, Auto Titrators and FTIR.

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a manufacturing setting and professional office environment. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
