Quality Assurance Technician

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of plastic products to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Measure and record data from samples, sorts, and customer requests.
  • Oversee and maintain the non-conformance hold area to ensure efficient processing of defective products.
  • Verify and coordinate calibration of all plant measuring devices to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Collaborate with technical and engineering personnel on new products and sample retains to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Trace defects to the point of origin to determine resolution for non-conformance issues.
  • Prepare non-conforming product reports and quality alerts to inform stakeholders of any quality issues.
  • Attend meetings to discuss quality, safety issues, changes affecting production, and other relevant topics.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to inspection personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Support and assist with continuous improvement projects within the department to drive quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the plastics industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using quality control tools and software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
