Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Yale-New Haven Health. As a Lead Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of nursing professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and psychosocial conditions to develop individualized care plans.
  • Implementation and Coordination: Implement and coordinate care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Evaluation and Revision: Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and revise as needed, making referrals when indicated.
  • Education and Training: Plan and provide educational opportunities for patients and families, documenting outcomes and progress.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Function as a preceptor to new staff, a charge nurse, and demonstrate leadership skills to promote a safe and supportive environment.
  • Quality and Safety: Meet performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, resource utilization, and staff and self-development.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years' experience required.
  • Licensure: Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License.
  • Certifications: Must obtain certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring within two years; BLS certification required.
