Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at Yale New Haven Health. As a NICU RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan individualized patient care to achieve desired outcomes
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Evaluate patient response to care and revise plans as needed
  • Provide education to patients and families on neonatal care and management
  • Function as a preceptor to new staff and as a charge nurse
  • Meet performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, and staff development
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
  • Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license
  • BLS and NRP certification required
  • NICU Certification required within two years after completion of orientation
