About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team on a per diem basis. As a per diem employee, you will have the opportunity to pick up various shifts each week and month, working closely with our dedicated team of veterinary professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage incoming patients and manage clients throughout their visit.
  • Partner with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures, including catheter placement.
  • Obtain and process laboratory samples, such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.
  • Utilize different modalities of radiology imaging for patient assessment.
  • Execute, monitor, and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events.
  • Provide outstanding client care to maintain long-term relationships with clients.

About You:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different communication styles.
  • Work history demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills, as well as a strong sense of personal accountability.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure and a positive attitude in a high-performance culture with ever-changing demands.
  • Ability to accurately calculate volumes and rates of medications and other treatments.

Requirements:

  • 2 years' experience as a veterinary assistant/technician in a progressive general practice and/or 1 year in a specialty practice.
  • Credentialed technician preferred but not required.
