About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Risk Analyst - Personal Lines to join our team at Slide, a cutting-edge Technology Enabled Insurance company. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will play a critical role in evaluating and managing risk for our personal lines business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and Analyze Inspections: Conduct thorough reviews of inspections, process changes, cancellations, and non-renewals to ensure accurate and timely decision-making.
  • Evaluate Risk and Exposure: Analyze new and existing personal lines business to assess the degree of risk and potential exposure, making informed recommendations to ensure optimal coverage.
  • Obtain and Analyze Applicant Information: Gather and analyze additional applicant information to determine coverage needs, ensuring that each policyholder receives the best possible coverage.
  • Evaluate Property Risk: Assess the level of risk for insuring each property, taking into account various factors to ensure accurate and informed decision-making.
  • Provide Recommendations: Offer recommendations regarding the approval of applications, ensuring that each policyholder receives the best possible coverage.
  • Assist Agents with Premium Determination: Collaborate with agents to determine premium costs, ensuring that each policyholder receives accurate and timely information.
  • Evaluate Insurance Claims: Review insurance claims for accuracy and ensure that coverage amounts are appropriate, making informed decisions to resolve claims efficiently.
  • Perform Other Duties: Assist with other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our underwriting team.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of a High School diploma and pertinent work experience is required. 3+ years' experience in the Property & Casualty Homeowner's insurance industry is required, with 1-2 years of personal lines underwriting experience preferred.
  • Qualifications and Skills: In-depth understanding of insurance coverage and policy writing, proficiency in technical underwriting and associated skills, ability to make complex decisions using critical thinking, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
