Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director to join our team at Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Company, Inc. as a key member of our sales organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a strong sales culture, organization, and tactical plan to support our market area pricing, sales, and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strong and viable sales culture, organization, and tactical plan to support our market area pricing, sales, and marketing strategies.
  • Identify, recruit, hire, train, and retain new sales representatives and other sales personnel as needed and as approved.
  • Implement and execute against performance standards and metrics to achieve sales, operational excellence, and business growth.
  • Continuously assess current market penetration, client, and competitor activity, identifying opportunities to build a strong leading market position for the company.
  • Develop relations with top clients and secure business support across all areas, including manufacturing, construction services, and commodities distribution.
  • Implement sales initiatives to deliver sales revenue and gross profit dollar growth and deliver upon the sales best management practices.
  • Provide effective direction and supervision to sales representatives and other sales personnel within their responsibility to achieve all sales strategies, tactics, budgets, and objectives.
  • Attend and participate in all company-sponsored training programs as required.
  • Perform any other duties, responsibilities, or tasks as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

The Sales Director will manage sales representatives and other designated sales personnel, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and solving problems.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university; or 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business data, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from clients, company personnel, agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to present information to top management, field organization, and other key parties.
