Key Responsibilities:

As a Culinary Educator, you will provide hands-on instruction to youth aged eight (8) to eighteen (18). Your role will involve designing, coordinating, and delivering a diverse culinary curriculum, which includes cooking techniques, nutritional education, food safety, resource management, and physical wellness. You will inspire and guide students towards achieving various vocational industry certifications, such as OSHA and Serve Safe.

Core Duties:

  • Instructing students in practical culinary skills utilizing our mobile food unit as a 'learning environment.'
  • Exhibiting proficiency in managing a food trailer for events.
  • Infusing creativity into instructional methods to engage and motivate students.
  • Assisting in the recruitment of students to enhance program participation.
  • Collaborating on the development of a comprehensive culinary education program.
  • Seeking food donations and partnerships to support our food pantry and enrich our program offerings.
  • Performing additional tasks that contribute to the success of our culinary program.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with youth is advantageous.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain recognized industry credentials.
