Job Title: Body Structures Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Body Structures Engineer to join our team at Ingenics Corporation USA. As a key member of our Body Structures Team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering world-class Body Structures for our electric vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop weight-efficient automotive Body Structures and assemblies to deliver exceptional performance in NVH, Durability, and Crashworthiness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to integrate multiple systems efficiently.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient process sequences and build quality.
  • Develop and implement testing plans to prove out design concepts and ensure performance targets are met.
  • Perform detailed analysis of section properties, materials, and manufacturing processes to understand competitiveness of designs.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive Body Structures systems and sub-systems at OEM or supplier.
  • Experience in full life cycle development from concept to prototype to full production.
  • Proven 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA V5/V6 or similar software.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Advantageous Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Class A surface data.
  • Experience in setting up sealing strategies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and joining applicable for body structures.
