Lead Conformity of Production Activities

As a Senior Engineer - Homologation at Lucid Motors, you will be responsible for leading Conformity of Production (COP) activities for global markets across the Lucid Group. This involves developing and improving processes to ensure robust, fit-for-purpose systems are in place to maintain compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Arrange and conduct COP tests and assessments according to the master schedule plan, compiling test reports and evidence.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Lucid production facilities to ensure quality processes are being followed.
  • Lucid lead on market surveillance enquiries.
  • Monitor relevant global regulations, ensuring changes are communicated throughout the business to ensure ongoing compliance of Lucid vehicles.
  • Arrange, support, and conduct physical tests that are part of the homologation process, creating compliance test reports and collating regulatory documentation.
  • Interface with technical services and approval authorities to deliver certification for required markets.
  • Work closely with vehicle design engineers, interpret regulations, offer expert opinions on design issues, and justify and record decisions.
  • Represent the company and interface with regulatory agencies and industrial peers.
Requirements:
  • Expert knowledge about regulatory requirements in different regions, with technical depth in key areas, such as range and efficiency testing, or electric vehicle safety.
  • Proven track record of success, e.g., having successfully delivered CoP programmes for a regulatory body or OEM.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details, e.g., clearly documenting all requirements, keeping records of internal and external discussions, highlighting the nuance of different interpretations.
  • Ability to articulate technical issues and solutions to all levels of the business, using oral, written, and presentational mediums.
Education:

Bachelor's degree and above in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or other related fields.

Lucid Motors offers a competitive salary range of $133,400 - $166,800 USD, plus a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
