Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining excellent patient care and operational productivity by assisting the Veterinarian in their daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Veterinarians in preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, taking x-rays, and gathering lab specimens.
  • Monitor patients post-op and restrain animals during exams.
  • Obtain samples for testing, including stool, blood, and other specimens.
  • Test samples and help interpret results.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and other treatments as prescribed by the DVM.
  • Communicate with clients to obtain medical information and provide instructions on animal care.
  • Assist the Client Service Specialist team as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
  • At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
  • Understanding and ability to properly restrain animals.
  • Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and medication.
  • Lift 50 lbs to waist height.
  • Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented.
