Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice in alignment with state regulations and veterinary medical ethics.
  • Utilize evidence-based medicine and pursue ongoing education to ensure quality patient care.
  • Commit to a culture of preventive care and promote Optimum Wellness Plans.
  • Embrace and positively influence new veterinary standards and guidelines.
  • Administer medical and surgical treatments using approved pharmaceuticals and equipment, adhering to Banfield's Medical Quality Standards.
  • Collaborate with clients as a pet advocate to schedule follow-up visits, provide home-care guidance, and educate them on ensuring their pets' lifelong health.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate medical records with the assistance of practice systems, including Banfield's database, PetWare, which is designed for population research.
  • Support an effective veterinary team by sharing medical standards, ethical practices, and your veterinary expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree is required.
  • A valid State Veterinary Board License in good standing for the state of employment is necessary prior to starting.
