Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Assistant II to join our team at Sonic Anatomic Pathology. As a key member of our laboratory operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth processing and preparation of laboratory specimens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and prepare laboratory specimens for testing, adhering to strict quality control and safety protocols.
  • Recognize and troubleshoot issues with specimen processing, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, handling biological hazards and adhering to PPE requirements.
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control initiatives within the laboratory.
  • Troubleshoot order inadequacies and instrument issues, resolving specimen problems and deficiencies.
  • Participate in special projects, such as evaluating and validating new equipment and testing new procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing.
  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including centrifuges and audible alarms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of related experience in clinical laboratory, data entry, or production.
