Human Resources Coordinator

This role provides administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and the Office of Human Resources, ensuring effective and efficient operations within the department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to employees, managing departmental calendars, preparing correspondence, processing mail, coordinating meetings and events, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate electronic onboarding process for new hires, verifying necessary forms and documents are completed.
- Maintain personnel files, completing Form I-9, and updating records as needed.
- Support payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions, and resolving errors.
- Provide receptionist services, greeting visitors and callers, and addressing inquiries.
- Process invoices for payment, obtaining approvals as required.
- Assist with recruitment efforts, posting positions, coordinating search committees, and processing expense reimbursements.
- Maintain office supplies, forms, and policy documents, ensuring their availability at all times.
- Complete employment verifications, maintaining confidentiality and integrity of employee information.
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records, ensuring compliance with University policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, 3-5 years' experience in an office environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
