Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Administrator to join our team in Hudson, NH. As a key member of our Electronic Attack Solutions product line, you will play a critical role in the coordination and management of complex proposals, contracts, and purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage proposals, contracts, and purchase orders involving financial considerations or technical significance.
  • Develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and manage complex proposals and contracts.
  • Lead in the execution of contracts, including pre-contract roles, contract management, and monitoring.
  • Provide leadership in administration of contracts and negotiations of critical proposals.
  • Support assigned proposal activities, including analyzing solicitations and preparing summaries.
  • Research contract language and seek guidance on complex terms and conditions.
  • Review cost and price proposals to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Coordinate with other company functions to ensure reviews and approvals are conducted and required signatures are obtained.
  • Conduct and lead negotiations and other activities required to obtain contracts or orders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in contract management, proposal coordination, or a related field.
  • Fundamental skills for coordinating and managing moderately complex proposals, contracts, and purchase orders.
  • General understanding of government contracting.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and work under frequent deadlines.
  • Ability to learn job-related material through on-the-job training.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Exhibits sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel and customers.
  • Experience using personal computers and related software to maintain databases and prepare reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on closure and get results.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, dependable, attention to detail, and impeccable follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Business or law degree with direct or highly related experience.
  • Ability to read, understand, interpret, and draft contractual documents.
  • Experience with US Government Acquisition and Procurement process.
  • In-depth knowledge and practice of the Contracts function and related company policies and procedures, commercial contracting methods, FAR/DFARS, export, and other government regulations.
  • US DoD SECRET Level clearance or higher (current within a 4-year period).
  • Experience with complex RFPs and large proposal development.
  • Experience with various USG agencies and other Defense Contractors.
