Job Title: Environmental Remediation Engineer

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Remediation Engineer to join our team in Long Beach, Orange, or Los Angeles, California.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong background in environmental engineering and a successful work history in environmental investigations and remediation of impacted sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for remediation system operation and maintenance, serving as the task lead for environmental projects, coordinating efforts of subcontractors and field/support staff, and providing guidance to entry-level engineers.

Responsibilities:
  • Remediation system operation and maintenance
  • Serve as the task lead for environmental projects
  • Coordinate efforts of subcontractors and field/support staff
  • Project and task support, data analysis, report writing, and assisting with cost estimating and remedial plan preparation
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
  • Provide guidance to entry-level engineers
  • Work with a team to develop proposed approaches to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods previously developed
  • Work on routine engineering assignments involving calculations
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Environmental Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education
  • Valid Driver's License
  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
  • Five to ten years of experience
  • P.E. License for California or able to obtain within 6 months of hire date
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-hour annual refresher certification
