About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Southern California Site Investigation and Remediation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical services to our clients, including remediation consulting, design, and implementation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical input to studies and design in your specific area(s) of expertise.
  • Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality and cost-effective work by others.
  • Participate in the interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Use expertise to complete discipline component of PS&E package.
  • Perform quality control review of deliverables.
  • Prepare technical specification sections.
  • Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
  • Assist or lead proposal efforts to provide services or obtain funding for project or programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering or related field.
  • 6 years of experience in environmental engineering consulting or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident, we cannot sponsor for this role.
  • Valid California driver's license, which will be subject to a motor vehicle records check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8 years of experience in environmental engineering consulting or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.
  • Prior project management experience.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Advanced degree related to the position.
  • Prior experience managing direct reports.
  • Acquired or able to obtain PE certification within 12 months of accepting a position.
