Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meeting and Events Coordinator to join our team at Pyramid Global Hospitality. As an Executive Meeting Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing successful meetings and events that exceed our clients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate meetings and events, including room sales, catering, and audiovisual equipment
  • Negotiate room rates, prices, and other sales terms with clients
  • Solicit and confirm new and repeat business through various efforts, including lead follow-up, telemarketing, and referrals
  • Develop and implement creative sales strategies to analyze historical, current, and future hotel/market/account trends
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key corporate, business, and travel industry accounts
  • Prepare and execute sales/catering contracts, event orders, and group resumes to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Manage accurate, legible records and files consistent with established automated or manual sales systems
Requirements
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience preferred
  • A minimum of one-year sales experience in a related position with this company or another organization(s)
  • Hotel sales experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence professionals and hotel guests
  • Ability to manage extensive amounts of information
  • Knowledge of sales procedures associated with the hotel industry
Working Conditions

This position requires continuous and prolonged periods of sitting and periods of walking. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 20 lbs. on a regular basis. Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing. Includes continuous and prolonged computer usage.

This position will require, according to business demand and client events, varied climates ranging from outdoor heat & cold and indoor controlled climate.
