Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Athletic Trainer to join our team at UNC Health Care. This role will involve working with athletes to prevent, assess, and treat injuries.

Responsibilities:

  • Casting and Patient Care: Casting patients, providing splints, braces, crutches, and other DME, and educating patients on their use.
  • Disability Cases: Managing patient clinical phone calls and completing disability paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Patient Education: Educating patients on home exercise programs and therapeutic exercises, as well as communicating effectively with patients and staff members.
  • Patient Information: Rooming and obtaining necessary patient information to update patient history and charts, reviewing clinic schedules and charts to verify test results or patient information, ordering x-rays, labs, or medical tests as needed, and performing thorough medical histories and physical examinations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification.
  • Licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners or license eligible.
  • BLS for healthcare providers.
  • One year of experience as an athletic trainer preferred.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $22.45 - $32.27 per hour. We offer competitive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
