Senior Civil Inspection Specialist

The City of Peoria, Arizona is a dynamic and rapidly growing municipality seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Inspection Specialist to join its Development and Engineering Department/Engineering Services Division.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per yearJob DescriptionThis role involves performing journey-level work in the inspection of development projects, construction of city infrastructure projects, and non-city owned utilities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and departmental regulations through thorough inspections of workmanship and materials used.
In addition to inspecting projects, this role will also involve:
- Maintaining accurate records and reports of inspections performed;
- Communicating effectively with contractors, developers, utility companies, and other city departments and staff;
- Coordinating with engineers and architects to resolve technical issues related to project inspections.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills;
- A minimum of 3 years of experience performing civil inspections, monitoring construction activities, and performing acceptance testing in the construction industry;
- Knowledge in the fields of temporary traffic control, storm water pollution construction site inspection, and field-testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt pavement materials;
- Experience working in a municipal or government setting.
