Job Summary:

The City of Peoria, Arizona is seeking a highly skilled Civil Infrastructure Specialist to join our Development and Engineering Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our city's infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and departmental regulations.
  • Monitor construction activities and perform acceptance testing to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Collaborate with contractors, developers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project completion.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to internal and external customers.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus additional coursework (equivalent to up to 1 year at a Community College or equivalent resulting in accumulation of similar knowledge and abilities).
  • 2-4 years' experience in civil inspections, construction monitoring, and quality assurance.
  • Valid Arizona Class "D" Driver's License upon hire.
  • APWA Certified Public Infrastructure Inspector (CPII) required in area of assignment within one year of hire.
