The Lead Technical Services Specialist will report directly to the Technical Services Leader for the Americas and will be responsible for overseeing technical service initiatives that support our clients' operational facilities within the CFMC sector.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct technical service operations at client locations.
  • Manage and guide technical service teams during on-site activities, including commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, plant assessments, process evaluations, and training sessions.
  • Provide exceptional technical support and outcomes to bolster the CFMC business; leverage operational expertise across all technology areas; align with sales strategies, manage customer complaints, and foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly to urgent requests from clients and internal teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers within the CFMC division.
  • Ensure all technical service activities adhere to Elessent's safety protocols.
  • Facilitate the standardization of technical service delivery methods and document best practices.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to assist international clients.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and knowledge retention from team activities.

  • Perform troubleshooting both on-site and remotely.
  • Execute Technical Service Agreements.
  • Oversee acid plant commissioning, start-up, and shutdown processes.
  • Provide technical assistance to the sales team.

  • Lead plant optimization and revamp studies.

Work Environment:
  • Primarily office-based with a controlled climate.
  • Fast-paced work setting.

  • Occasional exposure to chemical plant environments.

Physical Requirements:

This position typically requires:

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in sulfuric acid process technology.
  • Familiarity with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) is advantageous.
