About the Role

The Compensation and HR Metrics Specialist will play a key role in implementing and administering compensation programs at Colonial Williamsburg. This includes conducting compensation analyses, salary surveys, and designing, developing, and managing CW's compensation programs. The successful candidate will utilize HRIS data to provide monthly HR metrics for leaders and HR Business Partners, supporting data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Recruitment, and hiring managers to create and document job descriptions, provide market analysis, and assign pay grade for new and existing positions.
  2. Participate in salary surveys and benchmark jobs against survey data. Properly classify and grade current and open positions and provide recommendations for candidate offers.
  3. Research and analyze compensation policies and guidelines, making recommendations to establish and/or maintain compliance, competitive rates, and equity.
  4. Participate in the administration of performance management to ensure compliance with salary administration guidelines.
  5. Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure continuity.
  6. Provide calculations and forecasts for compensation actions such as merit, grade increases, changes to minimum wage or FLSA.
  7. Design and optimize available data, reports, and visualizations related to headcount, turnover, exit data, overtime, etc.
  8. Partner with HRIS, HRBPs, and leaders to provide data that is relevant and useful.
  9. Collaborate with HRIS to ensure consistent understanding and use of data.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field, and three to five years of related experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and HRIS systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CCP and/or SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
  • Experience working in the not-for-profit industry.
  • Experience with Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) HRIS.
