Job Summary

The HR Project Specialist reports to the Vice President, Human Resources, and is responsible for collaborating within the HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and with HR Business Partners on various Human Resource related projects. The person in this role may participate in or lead HR initiatives such as policy creation, learning programs, onboarding, providing organizational charts, reporting, assisting with open enrollment activities, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform research and advise HR Leadership of best practices and emerging trends to advance strategic goals and operational priorities.
  2. Provide project and change management oversight and guidance.
  3. Assist with the creation and revision of policies and procedures.
  4. Coordinate with COE's to update and maintain HR SharePoint site.
  5. Assist with internal communications.
  6. Lead or assist with various projects in HR – Learning and Development, Benefits, Compensation, Recruitment, Employee Relations, Culture, and DEI.
  7. Act as liaison with all internal department function areas and Senior Leadership Team members.
  8. Assists in the planning, development and implementation of employee training and advises managers and staff of available training opportunities.

Requirements

Required: Ability to perform the duties of the position, usually acquired through a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a closely related field and five (5) years' related Human Resources experience.

Preferred: SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

  • Ability to lead, plan, organize, execute, prioritize and monitor a variety of work projects.
