Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver family and community partnership services to Early Head Start families.
  • Ensure compliance with established performance standards.
  • Facilitate the recruitment and enrollment of children into the program.
  • Implement culturally responsive strategies for addressing family needs.
  • Contribute to the creation of educational materials and parent workshops.
  • Guide parents in developing effective parenting techniques.
  • Collaborate with program staff to maintain a high-quality child development environment.
  • Availability for evening and weekend work as required.

Collaborative Relationships: Program Director, Education Specialist, & Health Specialist

Essential Functions: Family Support and Engagement

  • Assist families in identifying their strengths, needs, and aspirations.
  • Engage with a diverse community effectively.
  • Support enrollment efforts for Early Head Start families.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions for children.
  • Organize and conduct parent meetings and educational sessions.
  • Provide case management services to families.
  • Conduct home visits and follow up on attendance.
  • Advocate for children's services on behalf of parents.
  • Monitor children's developmental milestones.
  • Maintain open communication with families and the community.
  • Address inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with program staff to ensure a safe environment.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Gather and compile necessary reporting data.
  • Input information into data management systems.
  • Ensure adherence to program policies.
  • Maintain accurate children's records.
  • Assist with documentation for program compliance.
  • Uphold confidentiality standards.
  • Participate in training and team meetings.
  • Foster professional relationships with colleagues.
  • Effectively manage conflicts as they arise.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Understanding of child development and family engagement principles.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Successful completion of background checks and medical evaluations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience in working with children and families.
  • Certification in Pediatric First Aid/CPR.
  • Proficiency in Spanish or another language is a plus.

Employment Conditions:

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift children weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
