Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Challenge School Inc. as a Preschool Teacher or TA. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our young students and helping them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Environment and Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social-emotional development and enhances learning. Establish and enforce rules and routines to ensure a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom atmosphere.
  • Classroom Curriculum Implementation: Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes active learning, creativity, and exploration. Plan daily lesson plans, activities, and experiences that align with educational standards and support children's individual needs and interests.
  • Classroom Teaching and Transition: Conduct Circle time and age-appropriate activities. Handle transition well and ensure a smooth flow of activities throughout the day.
  • Classroom Assessment: Conduct ongoing assessments of children's developmental levels and progress using tools such as DRDP and DRDPTech. Use assessment data to inform instructional decisions and individualize learning experiences.
  • Classroom Record: Maintain accurate records and documentation of children's growth, behavior, and learning outcomes. This includes incident reports, IEPs, behavior reports, and developmental screenings.
Requirements:
  • A.A. degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or Teacher certificate
  • 1 year of preschool experience
  • 6 ECE units for TA
  • 12 ECE units for Teacher
  • 3 infant unit if working for Infant/Toddler Program
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to meet the physical demands of staying in proximity of children to be within arm's reach. Participate in safety drills by following established guidelines.
  • Able to lift, carry, and move children weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to frequently get up and down from the floor and bending while interacting with children.
  • Able to stand and sit for extended periods of time interchangeably throughout the day.
  • Able to withstand outdoor temperatures and conditions for extended periods of time during all seasons.

  • Pay attention to Health and Safety
  • Flexible on assignments
  • Positive attitude, remain calm, manage emotion
  • Report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working
  • Familiar with Company staff handbook and Policies. Attend all training and meeting
