As a Medical Assistant at InStride Foot & Ankle Specialists, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting physicians with patient examinations, taking vital signs, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Take and record patient vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including laboratory and diagnostic test results
- Assist with appointment scheduling, patient inquiries, and referral authorization
- Monitor inventory and stock medical supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards and practice policies
- Perform other duties as needed to support the clinical team
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Recognized certification as a CMA, MOA, or RMA (preferred)
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
This role requires:
- Consistent walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
- Lifting and supporting the weight of 35 pounds
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases
- Intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch
- Manual finger dexterity
