About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director to lead our Education Insights Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Center's operations, ensuring the quality and integrity of our research, evaluation, and capacity building efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Center, aligning our efforts with the mission and priorities of our organization.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of business plans, ensuring the Center's financial sustainability and growth.
  • Lead research and evaluation efforts, focusing on creating equitable opportunities and outcomes for diverse student populations in California's education systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to secure funding and resources, building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and funders.
  • Supervise and manage personnel, ensuring effective team performance and a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as public policy, education, or a related field.
  • At least ten years of advanced professional experience in education research, policy, or a related field, with a minimum of five years in a leadership or management role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development, and financial management.
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising and grant writing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Proven experience in grant writing and management.
