Sterile Processing Technician Specialist

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and distribution of medical equipment and supplies in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Processing: Decontaminate, clean, package, sterilize, store, and distribute medical equipment and supplies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, restock supplies, and manage specialty carts and equipment.
- Ordering and Procurement: Order medical equipment and supplies as needed, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with departmental policies.
- Quality Control: Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to manufacturer's recommendations.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of equipment processing, inventory, and quality control activities.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless processing and distribution of medical equipment and supplies.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, with completion of an accredited Sterile Processing Program or Surgical Technician program.
- Certification: Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution - Technician Certification or Registered Central Service Technician Certificate or Surgical Technologist Certificate.
- Experience: Two (2) years recent experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or Surgical Technician in an acute hospital setting.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of instrument processing techniques, including decontamination, assembly, and sterilization. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
