Job Summary

The Rental Technician provides exceptional guest services related to the selection, fitting, renting, and selling of a variety of winter sports equipment and accessories. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient and high-quality shop operations, ensuring a seamless experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Greet guests with a friendly and helpful attitude, providing fast, accurate, and appropriate selection and fitting of winter sports equipment.
  • Shop Operations: Act independently to maintain efficient, clean, and organized shop/facilities operations at all times.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a broad knowledge base to answer guest equipment-related queries and provide resort-wide information.
  • Sales and Rentals: Acquire and retain detailed Rental and Retail product knowledge to best serve guests and achieve departmental sales goals.
  • Attention to Detail: Utilize great attention to detail in the completion of all tasks and in supporting daily shop operations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Run Skis and Snowboards over waxing equipment when required.
  • Compliance: Comply with required risk management and indemnification procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous rental shop experience preferred.
  • Customer Service: Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Language: Written and speaking fluency in English required.
  • Language Skills: Bi-lingual language skills (Spanish, Portuguese, French or others) preferred.
  • Certification: Must pass ski manufacturers' binding certification (on-the-job training provided).
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required.
  • Work Environment: Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions. Some positions require exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • Lifting: Must be able to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50 lbs.).
