Position Summary

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Police is in search of a meticulous and service-oriented Fare Compliance Officer to enhance their team. In this role, you will be essential in upholding the fare system's integrity while ensuring a secure atmosphere for all riders.

Primary Duties
  • Monitor and enforce fare compliance on DART's transit rail network.
  • Assist patrons in acquiring tickets and offer instructions on the effective use of Ticket Vending Machines.
  • Notify DART Police of any disruptive conduct for necessary intervention.
  • Provide testimony in court concerning issued citations.
  • Wear the DART uniform during working hours and carry out additional assigned responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in customer service, ideally in a related sector.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving history.
  • Competence in using computers and software applications.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, ascend stairs, and lift equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to fulfilling customer expectations and needs.
Work Environment
Must be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions and maintain vigilance while on a train.
