Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Officer to join our legal team as a Vice President of Compliance. This role will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of our Compliance Program, ensuring that all applicable statutes, regulations, and policies are followed.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement compliance systems and metrics to ensure effective compliance within the organization and its affiliates.
- Review and update policies and procedures to ensure ongoing currency and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Healthcare Compliance Program, including HIPAA, Stark laws, anti-kickback, False Claims Act, and qui tam.
- Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, and respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct.
- Provide regular reports to Senior Management and the Board on the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- Seven plus years of healthcare compliance/regulatory experience, preferably in senior housing or home health.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare compliance programs, including policy implementation and auditing.
