Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will engage in the design of electrical power distribution frameworks, incorporating protective relays, PLC controls, and power monitoring utilizing computer-aided design software to create one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring layouts, and physical configurations of medium voltage electrical products and apparatus (kV) tailored for the ANSI/IEEE, UL, and North American markets.

This position is pivotal in delivering comprehensive customer support. The role involves consulting on product applications and solutions with end users, consultants, and contractors, alongside collaborating with Schneider Electric's sales, quotation, and project execution teams. The candidate will work closely with factory support teams (production, supply chain, purchasing, and customer service) to ensure an optimal customer experience.

Main Duties:
  • Produce and verify the technical quality of deliverables (drawings, bills of materials, services)
  • Ensure alignment with project objectives
  • Drive continuous enhancement of design activities in terms of technical expertise, efficiency, processes, quality, and service levels
  • Collaborate with other engineering and quality teams to maintain compliance with design intent and safety standards
Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Requirements:
  • Proficient in translating customer needs into electrical designs, producing deliverables such as one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring layouts, and bills of materials.
  • Competent in reading, interpreting, and understanding engineering drawings and specifications for medium voltage equipment.
  • Ability to navigate both office and manufacturing environments effectively
  • Familiarity with engineering and job-related tools: SEE XP, AutoCAD, Symmetry, LDS, ODM+, etc.
  • Strong time management skills to address and normalize manufacturing concerns
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the design and engineering of medium voltage electrical distribution systems, including protection and control
  • Knowledge and practical application of relevant codes and standards
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Strong motivation to learn and develop in a dynamic environment, with a specific aptitude for electrical engineering related to power distribution equipment
  • Must be a US citizen or possess the legal right to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is preferred but not mandatory
