HVAC/BAS Systems Technician
The primary role involves executing Building Automation System projects.

This position is a
field-based role where various responsibilities may be undertaken.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project managers to deliver any of the following: project design/review, software implementation, installation, startup, commissioning, and training for owners.


The BAS Construction Technician will report directly to the Construction Manager and actively contribute to the development and execution of Operations Excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop databases, control sequences, programs, and graphics for both new construction and retrofit projects.
  • Ensure that implementations align with project specifications.
  • Oversee the commissioning of control installations and confirm that control sequences adhere to specifications.
  • Prepare commissioning reports as evidence of control verification.
  • Document installations for as-built control schematics.
  • Organize and present necessary BAS project sequences to meet the requirements of commissioning agents.
  • Act as the company's representative and direct point of contact for customers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of field experience in the HVAC controls sector, particularly in troubleshooting, maintenance, and service.
  • Hands-on technical experience with the commissioning and programming of DDC controls.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Proficient in writing code for controller sequences of operations.
  • Knowledge of integration protocols (Bacnet, Lonworks, Modbus, etc.).

Requirements:

  • An associate degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and general Windows environment.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A customer-focused, results-oriented mindset and a strong team player.
  • Self-motivated individual demonstrating initiative.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining organization.
