Job Description

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Lead Building Engineer. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for directing the operations and maintenance of our buildings, ensuring that our properties are safe, efficient, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations and Maintenance: Assist the Chief Engineer in directing the mobile engineers and overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our buildings.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly operations and mechanical reports, and prepare technical evaluations and deficiencies reports on existing mechanical systems and components.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Maintain staffing schedules and employment records for responsible areas, and plan and execute engineering and maintenance work.
  • Emergency Response: Respond effectively to all emergencies and maintain a safe and secure environment for our employees and tenants.
  • Facilities Management: Coordinate purchasing and inventory control procedures, and maintain and operate HVAC equipment and associated systems.
  • Training and Development: Attend periodic management and executive training seminars to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and company policies.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive preventive maintenance program, and ensure that all HVAC building automation systems are functioning properly.
  • Engineering Department: Assist in the organization and management of the engineering department, and maintain liaison with the Engineering Manager regarding work orders, job completion dates, and priorities.
  • Capital Projects: Make recommendations for systems improvement and capital projects, and provide input on budgeting and resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of training and experience in electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration system operation, design, application, and maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent working knowledge of computer-based applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
