Job Title: Field Engineer Trainee

PEG, LLC is a leading energy efficiency and environmental consulting firm seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Field Engineer Trainee. As a Field Engineer Trainee, you will have the opportunity to learn about energy sustainability and building energy performance of new residential construction.

Job Summary:

We are searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Field Engineer Trainee. In this role, you will assist in performing home energy audits, inspecting materials and control assemblies, and collecting data on energy efficient features. You will also have the opportunity to work with our team to develop and implement energy efficiency solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform home energy audits in accordance with RESNET guidelines
  • Inspect materials and control assemblies to ensure compliance with energy efficiency standards
  • Collect data on energy efficient features, including model and serial numbers of relevant equipment
  • Assist in developing and implementing energy efficiency solutions for clients
  • Prepare electronic written reports of audit findings
  • Effectively communicate with clients throughout the process
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • HERS Rater, BPI, NATE certification is helpful
  • 2 years of work experience in HVAC, home remodeling, or construction is helpful
