About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Construction Materials Field Technician to join our team at ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC. As a key member of our Field Services department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction materials on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites.
  • Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance.
  • Collect and analyze data, perform calculations, and document findings with precision in accordance with accepted engineering practices.
  • Maintain daily communication with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers, and keep supervisor and project teams informed of changing site conditions and additional testing requested.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills and stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must have and be willing to maintain current basic level certifications and be willing to obtain an additional 2 advanced certifications.
  • OSHA 10 is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 85 lbs and carry multiple times a day.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Strong communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
  • Proficiency with electronic devices, such as phones, tablets, and laptops.
  • Strong math skills with the ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
