Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Apex Systems. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design and validation of a Nuclear Power Plant power distribution system.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the development of technical content and implementation of design philosophy, standards, guidelines, equipment specifications, and procedures.
- Review and analyze single lines, elementariness, physicals, conduit and cable schedules, lighting, lightning, bill of materials, and manufacturers' drawings.
- Perform calculations and studies to support substation standards design basis, including grounding, AC & DC system sizing, lightning protection, lighting, rigid bus design, and thermal capability analysis.
- Conduct analytical studies for transmission system expansion, interconnection of new generation, and load to the transmission system, considering power system thermal, voltage, and reactive behavior, as well as transient, dynamic, harmonic, and short circuit performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
- 5 years of design experience in analog and digital electronics, microcontrollers, power electronics, PWB/CCA design/development/production, electronics packaging, and FPGAs.
- Experience with electrical and power systems design and analysis, controls systems, and/or engine/generator subsystems or components.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to cross-functional team members.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a development team.
