Minnesota Children's Museum is seeking a highly motivated and engaging Program Facilitator to join our team. As a Program Facilitator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the visitor experience in our Studio gallery and running pop-up programs throughout the museum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Art Activities: Actively engage with visitors by greeting them, introducing the activity, and inviting them to participate.
  • Reset the Space: Reset the space as needed to ensure incoming visitors have a fresh place to play.
  • Prepare and Restock Supplies: Prepare and restock exhibit and program supplies as needed to ensure all visitors can fully participate.
  • Scaffold Children's Learning: Help scaffold children's learning by using appropriate prompts and encouragement (training provided by the museum).
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Pop-Up Programs: Set up materials and signage in designated spaces, actively invite children to participate, and customize interactions to meet each visitor's needs.
  • Maintain Spaces: Maintain spaces for visitors to use, including wiping down tables, rinsing brushes, and sweeping.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Answer questions about exhibits and the museum, direct crowds when needed, supervise lines, and encourage turn-taking.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience Working with Children and Adults: One year of experience working or volunteering with groups of children and adults in an educational or recreational setting is required.
